Essendo l’ardesia quasi l’unica tra i materiali lapidei ad avere caratteristiche di impermeabilità ed agendo essa da isolante termico, si è andato sviluppando il suo impiego per il rivestimento esterno ed interno di abitazioni.
Visitando il centro storico di Genova e la nostra Riviera, si hanno molti esempi di rivestimenti esterni di pareti poste a nord e quindi particolarmente esposte alle intemperie, perfettamente conservati.

High Quality for an innovative system of ventilated façade for stone materials. The new system of ventilated façade allows to pre-assemble the slabs on the under structure constituted by profiles in aluminium worked according to the orthogonal project lines. The under structure it’s constituted by particular joints with an international brevet in concession. The profiles of the under structure have particular guides allowing the joints with a great facility in the laying.
The anchorage system, with goniometric stirrup, allows a wall fixing sure and rapid for each single slab. The resistance is insured up to 230 kg of the normal traction to the façade plan that correspond to the resistance along the vectors of solicitation owed to the wind.
The perfect alignments, seen the possible micrometric regulations on four principal aces, consent to realize precise dimensions among the single slabs, and allow to ignore the possible plane differences on the support. The laying of ventilated façade GEO STONE assures the absence of thermal bridges appreciable with the masonry or the support structure. Each pre-assembled under structure on the slab surmounts and joins to the slab that precedes it, so that to be defined to “closed joint” and create a circulation room of contained air in a minimum space.
The whole of these characteristics, improved by researches over that from the objective comparisons in the long practical experience, it confers to the whole system reliability of reaction and micro-climate during all the seasons avoiding all form of condenses for the whole climatic year.
The high quality, over that the innovative system of structure, also finds base in its functionality and aesthetics.
The productive industrialization of the façade GEO STONE: the jobs centres (for marble, slate, glass and all the other stone materials that across the analysis of the technical card of each materials, will allow the use in façade) prepare the covering slabs applying specials under quadrates holes, and also the guides of assemblage for the fabrication (the union among the two elements happens through mechanical anchorages and use of structural elastic glue), that confer to each piece a very high resistance.
